Writing for students with significant disabilities

I have had the opportunity to gather and examine (through my own limited lens) loads of resources, research, presentations, webinars and websites that I hope will support teams who are working with students with significant disabilities. This weebly focuses, of course, on writing. It was my hope that, should teams so choose, they could get started with teaching emergent writing to even their most complex students. I hope I have provided enough in the way of evidence for why to consider such an undertaking and enough in the way of how to get started and keep going. Remember be patient with yourself and the process, it takes time and it's worth it!

Below I have included Yoder, Erickson and Koppenhaver's (1997) literacy bill of rights. It's worth keeping handy.

Please let me know of other resources (should you possibly have the time) that should be included and/or any comments you may have. My aim is to keep this site active, growing, and changing as needed.  Thanks for having a look!
